Officials from the Nacogdoches Economic Development Corporation, Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce and the City of Nacogdoches are partnering with WorkForce Solutions of Deep East Texas to host a job fair on Wednesday, December 4th from 2 to 5 p.m. at the CL Simon Recreation Center located at 1112 North Street. “Our immediate concern is to find employment for the 90 employees affected by the closure of Hotel Fredonia earlier this week, however the job fair will be open to ALL businesses and residents looking for employment, including seasonal employees,” said Judy McDonald President of the Nacogdoches Economic Development Corporation. “We have already had interest from several large employers like Aramark which employs over 325 employees.” Organizers are currently reaching out to employers across the board from Hospitality jobs to clerical services; there is a great need for a variety of exhibitors to be present. Any business looking to fill vacancies is welcome to exhibit at the Job Fair.
Vendors should contact Kristy Castle-Royal with WorkForce Solutions of Deep East Texas at kcastleroyal@detwork.org or 936-560-1441 extension 248. The deadline for vendors to reserve a table is Monday, December 2nd at 5 p.m. There is no charge for exhibitors and tables and chairs will be provided, space is limited however and must be reserved in advance.
