NACOGDOCHES- The City of Nacogdoches City Council and Human Resources Director have selected three finalists for the position of City Manager.
Over 50 applicants applied for the position initially via the City of Nacogdoches’ online hiring portal. From there, 25 applicants who met the listed qualifications for the posting were asked to provide written responses to 22 questions selected by the City Council and Human Resources Director. The pool was further reduced via a round of teleconference interviews, leading to the selection of the three finalists for the position.
“We had a number of outstanding applicants for this position and believe the City will be well served by any one of these candidates”, said Nacogdoches Mayor Randy Johnson.
All three finalists have been invited to Nacogdoches for in-person interviews with the City Council and staff members on August 18. An evening reception and opportunity for the public to meet the finalists will follow the interviews on the 18th at the Fredonia Hotel from 6-8 p.m.
“The entire City Council appreciates the outstanding support provided by (Human Resources Director) Bonita Hall and her team”, added Johnson.
