[ARCHIVED] City Water Office Transitioning to More Effective Software

NACOGDOCHES- The City of Nacogdoches is preparing to undergo a software overhaul for the entire water billing system. To allow a seamless transition the water office will close early on Thursday, October 31st at 4 p.m.

“We will have to shut the office doors for one hour during this process, we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our residents,” said Utility Billing Manager BD Rambin. The software upgrade will ultimately result in faster, more secure access for water department employees, which in turn will mean better customer service for our residents. During the software transition, from October 31st through November 4th, residents will not be able to pay their bill via credit card whether it online, over the phone, or in person. Residents wishing to pay their bill online after November 5th will have to acquire new log in information from the Water Office. During the software transition, October 31st thru November 4th, residents are encouraged to pay their utility bills during this time at the water office located inside the side entrance of City Hall on Pecan Street or the drive thru located behind City Hall on Pecan Street. Our friendly staff in the water department will be available to take payments in person Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
