The City Council of the City of Nacogdoches will hold a hearing for citizen input on the proposed budget for the operations of the City for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2020 and ending September 30, 2021 on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at 5:30 p.m. and again on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall Building, 202 E. Pilar Street, Nacogdoches, Texas.
Due to COVID-19, City Council meetings are being held virtually. Members of the public who wish to submit comments on a listed agenda item must contact the City Secretary’s office by email at vinsonj@ci.nacogdoches.tx.us or by calling 936-559-2506 and providing their name, telephone number and relevant agenda item upon which they wish to speak. All requests to make comments must be received by 12:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting.
Per Section 102.005(b) of the Texas Local Government Code:
This budget will raise more total property taxes than last year’s budget by $365,026 or 3.36%, and of that amount $60,853 is tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year.
