City Board Appointments Slated for July


(NACOGDOCHES,TEXAS)  The City of Nacogdoches will begin accepting applications May23, 2017 to serve on the following boards: 


  • Convention and Visitor’sBureau Board

  • Mayor’s Committee on Peoplewith Disabilities

  • Historic Landmark PreservationCommittee

  • Nacogdoches Housing Authority 

  • Planning and Zoning Commission

  • Zoning Board of Adjustments

  • Public Library Board

  • Parks Board


“CityBoards and Commissions are an important component of our localgovernment.  I encourage all to consider volunteering to serve on aCity Board or Commission and be a part of the conversation to shapethe future of Nacogdoches”, states Mayor Shelley Brophy.

Thedeadline to submit an application for service on any of these boardsis 5 p.m. June 9,2017.  City Councilwill appoint members to serve on the above boards at the City Councilmeeting of July 18, 2017.  For more information, or to obtain anapplication, please contact the City Secretary at 936-559-2506 orvisit the city’s website at www.ci.nacogdoches.tx.us.
