Citizens Fire Academy

Ariel Operations
The Citizens Fire Academy is designed to provide interested community members with a working knowledge of Nacogdoches Fire and Rescue. Through the Citizens Fire Academy, the department offers its cadets insight into how firefighters perform their duties, as well as the many other ways the department serves the community. Upon completion of this program, participants will be educated in the many services provided by the fire department, its operating procedures and its purpose. 
The Academy meets for 12 weeks and includes both classroom instruction and hands on experience. Classes are held one evening each week. The course will also involve two Saturdays. There is a minimum age requirement of 18.
