Election Day Voting
All general city elections are held the second Saturday of May and are held at
Nacogdoches County Courthouse Annex
203 West Main Street Suite 113
Nacogdoches, TX 75961
Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
What Do You Need To Vote
Voters must present some form if identification in order to vote. To provide more efficient processing, please bring
ONE of the following:
- Current voter registration certificate
- A drivers license or personal identification card issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety or similar documents from other states;
- A form of photo ID that establishes a person’s identify (such as an employee identification card)
- A birth certificate or other document confirming birth that is admissible in a court of law and establishes a person’s identify
- U.S. citizenship papers
- A United States passport
- Official mail addressed to the person by name from a governmental agency
- A copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck or other government document that shows the name and address of the voter
Election Results
After polls are closed and ballots are counted UNOFFICIAL election results will be available on the city’s website or by calling 936-559-2504. The election results will not become official until the election is canvassed by the City Council at a meeting following the election.
