Avoid “out of network” surprise medical bills!
In order to receive the highest level of health insurance benefits, it is important you make sure every provider of your medical services is in the BlueCross BlueShield of Texas Network (BCBSTX).

Even though the actual hospital may be In-Network, this does not mean the anesthesiologist or the ER doctor assigned to you is. Be sure to ask specifically if the medical service provider is “In-Network.” Just about every medical services provider accepts BCBSTX, but just because they accept it does not mean they are “In-Network.”

To ensure your medical services are In-Network, always check to see if your doctor or hospital is in the BCBSTX Network and is using In-Network providers for outsourced services, such as lab services, radiology tests, anesthesiology, etc. You can verify this information by calling a Customer Advocate at the toll-free number on the back of your BCBSTX member ID card or you may visit the BCBSTX website by CLICKING HERE.
